SWS School of Music offer lessons for learning a musical instrument, song writing, composition and drama.

 

We believe in making learning interesting, fun and affordable.

 

We teach all ages and abilities from absolute beginner to advanced.

 

We teach many musical instruments including cello, clarinet, double bass, drums, flute, guitar, keyboard, oboe, piano, recorder, saxophone, trumpet, ukulele, viola, violin and voice.

 

We understand that everyone learns differently. Our teachers tailor lessons to fit each student’s unique learning style. Our structured and engaging lessons are specifically designed for each student’s individual interest thus creating the best environment for ensuring success. Maximising the amount learned and encouraging students to perform what they have learned. We inform each student on what they can be doing to make the most out of every lesson.

 

Our musical instrument tuition incorporates technique, rhythm, note reading and music theory.

 

We offer practice and meeting rooms to hire.

 

Our location is easily accessible from South London and Central London including Balham, Barnes, Battersea, Clapham, Fulham, Hammersmith, Kingston, Merton, Mitcham, Morden, Putney, Raynes Park, Southfields, Streatham, The West End, Tooting, Wandsworth and Wimbledon.

  • Learning to play a musical instrument can improve well-being, brain health, cognition and hearing function. New research has uncovered that mastering a musical instrument can help children to concentrate and increase their ability in English, Maths and Science.   • For a limited period, an introductory course of 3 x 30 min lessons is £36 for pupils aged up to 14 years and £50 for pupils aged 15 years and over. Age is not a barrier for learning. We also offer concessionary rates for senior citizens. Check our prices for further information.

  • Coming in 2020 : We will introduce student reports twice a year (July and December) so parents can follow their children's progress.

From Garratt Lane, turn into Penwith Road (there is a pub on the corner). SWS School of Music is on the left of the road and is after the service station and before the river.
